@ catsalad After they've removed my brain, and hooked it up to the compute side of the data centre, what else are they going to do with the leftover bits?
@catsalad@infosec.exchange Alternative option, is there something I can introduce into my body that would crash their data centers when they try to use me to fuel them? ...maybe if I just have a surgeon wire a usb port to some nerves and periodically update the usb drive I plug into it with whatever the latest slop exploit is? :bunhdthink:
@ deathkitten @ catsalad I've heard a bottle of 50 yo single malt whisky will do this Not sure how true that is, but no one who's tried it has complained
@ catsalad This is why I switched to EarthCoyote 5 years ago when they made the tabs semicircular. I knew semicircular tabs would lead to flesh harvesting eventually!!
@ catsalad To be honest, the fact that Mozilla gives control over it instead of shoving it down our throats is a huge thing comparing to other corporations. And they are not sharing any private data to do so. Majority of models, including translations runs locally on your computer instead of sending the translation query to a remote server, so you are not donating anything. With marketing and AI features, they are looking to be attractive to enterprise and investors as Firefox enters obscurity and AI is the only way in age of corporate AI psychosis. I am yet to see different ideas how to fuel Mozilla's income and reduce dependency on Google money, but all I hear is criticism.
@ catsalad I see ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with this! THANK YOU MOZILLA for giving me a option to turn it off! You are the CHAMPIONS of the open source after all so you can do WHATEVER you want and i think it should be ILLEGAL to critisize this! (Average firefox reddit community post)

✨ You always have a choice in Firefox, including whether we use your husk to enhance our AI. More post-mortem controls coming soon.

@ catsalad Sure, but if they defaulted to false, no one would turn it on so you can see why they have to set it to true.
